Bose-Fermi-Hubbard model on a lattice with two nonequivalent sublattices

چکیده
Phase transitions in systems described by Bose-Fermi-Hubbard model on a lattice with two nonequivalent sublattices are investigated in this work. The case of hard-core bosons is considered and pseudospin formalism is used. Phase diagrams are built in the plain of chemical potential of the bosons-bosonic hopping parameter. It is shown that in the case of anisotropic hopping, the region of the supersolid phase existence is possible for a smaller parameter space.

Dynamic structure factor of ultracold Bose and Fermi gases in optical lattices
We investigate the dynamic structure factor of atomic Bose and Fermi gases in one-dimensional optical lattices at zero temperature. The focus is on the generic behaviour of S (k, ω) as function of filling and interaction strength with the aim of identifying possible experimental signatures for the different quantum phase transitions. We employ the Hubbard or Bose-Hubbard model and solve the eig...
متن کاملLiV2O4: evidence for two-stage screening
LiV2O4, a frustrated mixed valent metal (d 1 ↔ d2), is argued to undergo two spinscreening processes. The first quenches the effective spin to produce the spin 1 2 behavior seen below room temperature[1] , while the second produces the heavy fermi liquid character seen at low temperatures[2]. We present here a preliminary discussion of a t-J model with strong Hund’s coupling of the strongly cor...
متن کاملBose-Hubbard Model
The Bose-Hubbard hamiltonian will be introduced and justified as an effective description of some relevant physical systems (dilute alkali gases in optical lattices, arrays of Josephson junctions). I will also show a mean field theory solution and the resulting phase diagram. Finally, I will describe in detail one of the more important experiments with an optical lattice of Rb atoms. 1. The Bos...
متن کاملMultimer formation in one-dimensional two-component gases and trimer phase in the asymmetric attractive Hubbard model
We consider two-component one-dimensional quantum gases at special imbalanced commensurabilities which lead to the formation of multimer (multiparticle bound-states) as the dominant order parameter. Luttinger liquid theory supports a mode-locking mechanism in which mass (or velocity) asymmetry is identified as the key ingredient to stabilize such states. While the scenario is valid both in the ...
متن کاملExpansion dynamics in the one-dimensional Fermi-Hubbard model.
Expansion dynamics of interacting fermions in a lattice is simulated within the one-dimensional (1D) Hubbard model, using the essentially exact time-evolving block decimation (TEBD) method. In particular, the expansion of an initial band-insulator state is considered. We analyze the simulation results based on the dynamics of a two-site two-particle system, the so-called Hubbard dimer. Our find...
